Asset Integrity Managment (AIM)

Asset Integrity Management (AIM) in the oil and gas industry is a complex process. It covers the management systems and processes that must be in place to ensure the integrity of an asset.

It encompasses all the phases of an asset lifecycle from design to decommissioning, and all these stages must focus on integrity.

Asset Integrity can be defined as:

“The ability of an asset to perform its required function effectively whilst safeguarding life and environment”

Pipeline Integrity Management (PIMS)

A PIMS is put on place in order to ensure that a pipeline lines operate with as little damage and environmental impact as possible while still being economic, Reltech Energy can help clients develop and operate a Pipeline Integrity Management System. (PIMS)

The task of PIMS is to determine the overall process for the integrity assessment of pipelines and thus to control the operative implementation of Inspections, Maintenance, and Repairs (IMR) of the pipeline system.

Corrosion Management Strategy (CMS)

The CMS can prescribe a number of activities, monitoring requirements and processes, these may be carried out by either Reltech or by the client or their representatives to minimise the corrosion risk..

The CMS monitors various KPIs as part of the CMS and this feeds back into the PIMS process. Activities that are carried out as part of the CMS include:

Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
